BIM Particular Conditions

BIM Particular Conditions

The Particular Conditions for Building Information Modelling (“BIM Particular Conditions”, please refer to Appendix E) shall be used for all new BIM projects. All parties in new BIM projects shall incorporate the BIM Particular Conditions as a contract document in their respective agreements for services, supply and/or construction for the project. Within this, collaboration, model ownership and risk apportionment are expressly addressed. In addition, the BIM Particular Conditions require completion of a BIM Execution Plan.

Relationship between BIM Documents

The diagram below shows the relationship between the Singapore BIM Guide and other documents mentioned. It is important to note that the BIM Particular Conditions is a contract document while the BIM Execution Plan and the Singapore BIM Guide are NOT contract documents. The BIM Execution Plan is a working product of the contract (Parties to the BIM Conditions must produce a BIM Execution Plan) and the document will undergo changes and additions throughout the project lifecycle.
BIM Particular Conditions
The Singapore BIM Guide is expected to be one of the references for BIM specifications and procedures for the Singapore industry, but it is not expected to be the sole BIM reference during a project. Project members should note that Employers may refer to alternative documents for BIM specifications and procedures for a BIM project instead.
