It's located on 20 Fenchurch Street is a commercial skyscraper in London that
takes its name from its address on Fenchurch Street, in the historic
City of London financial district. It has been nicknamed 'The
Walkie-Talkie' because of its distinctive shape.
It came as no surprise when a cartoonish, bulging skyscraper in
London's financial district known as the "Walkie-Talkie" won this year's
award for the U.K.'s worst new building.
After a unanimous vote by a panel of architectural critics at Building Design Magazine, the building officially known as 20 Fenchurch Street took the 2015 Carbunkle Cup. A spoof on the prestigious Stirling Prize awarded to great architecture, the Carbuncle is instead handed to architectural blunders.

The curved surface of the £500m building, being developed by Land
Securities and Canary Wharf Group, created a ‘solar glare’ effect which
focused sunlight and warped the panels of a Jaguar, melting the wing
mirrors and badge. The nickname Walkie Scorchie is proving popular!
Thomas Lane, who runs the award, said that the building "crashes into
London's skyline like an unwelcome party guest". He also added that "It
bulges out towards the top in a cynical move to maximise the amount of
high-value space at the upper levels, in defiance of the principle tall
buildings should taper elegantly inwards or at least feature parallel
sides".
